Anniversary Week!

Hey y'all! It's been a while since I last made a post for this website, but it's certainly not because I got lazy or something; I am too busy with college and other stuff.

This week, we see three releases from Masayuki Yamamoto's discography getting an anniversary.

The first one is the first box set The Pokopokkon on November 22nd. Not only does it contain remasters of Yamamoto's first five original albums, but also the first live album, Namakemono ga Miteta OVA soundtrack, and some extras: image songs from Kyuukyoku Choujin R, three self-covers and selected karaoke tracks.

The booklet also features cool photos of Masa in New York, which I would love to see (I'm guessing half are from New York Whisper)!

November 25th will mark the 31st anniversary of Yamamoto's first live album Aah Garagara Dondondon, which was also included in The Pokopokkon. Running a total of over two hours, this is the first of four live albums he's released throughout his discography so far.

Twenty-eight years later came the release of SOLO Hiki no Yoru ~3rd night~. The SOLO Hiki no Yoru series feature completely acoustic tracks of mostly unreleased songs, some of which were recent at that time.

It's crazy that Yamamoto managed to stay active on his musicality during the pandemic, but as it slowly dies, his career suddenly slowed down...

Alongside March and August, it seems that not a lot of releases happened on November. By studying the discography again, his albums mostly occurred on June, September and December.

And this might not be the only time I'm publishing an anniversary week status for this site. Let's find out what same week releases came out for next month!
